The Day of the Belgians

While sorting through my street photography archive I realised that I’ve been working on some of my projects for 10 years or more!

This brought me to the conclusion that I should start to publish the best of the work. Photos don’t live on a hard drive, they should be printed, seen and shared. So here we are my very first zine!

This project is based on just one day in Brussels, the 21st of July, Belgium’s National Day.
I’ve been going to it for a long, long time, first due to my son’s enthusiasm of all things military and now through my own passion. For a Brit living in Brussels I consider it as the craziest day on the annual event calendar: Hyper chaotic, a kaleidoscope of marching bands, parades, fries, folklore, tanks, beer, the infamous Drache Nationale (heavy rain that only occurs on the 21st), did I mention fries!

A5 Photo zine, 36 pages, numbered and signed.
